Authorities are investigating the death of a Greenwich man who died earlier today in a single vehicle accident on the Merritt Parkway.
The victim, who has been identified as Daniel Taylor was pronounced dead at Norwalk Hospital around 12:15 a.m.
Authorities said 38-year-old Taylor, of Pemberwick Road, was driving his BMW 740i south near Exit 40B when for unknown reasons he lost control of the vehicle and ended up down an embankment in the vicinity of Creeping Hemlock Drive.
Taylor, who was alone in the vehicle, was rushed to the hospital where he died.
It is believed Taylor was on his way home when the accident occurred.
