If money was not an issue and you were looking to purchase a $30 million mansion, would you purchase the old Mel Gibson home in Backcountry Greenwich, or would you purchase one in Brooklyn?
A 15,000 square foot home with an 8000-square guest house in the Mill Basin section of Brooklyn just went on the market for $30 million.
This mansion, located at 2458 National Drive, comes with four kitchens, half-a-dozen boat docks and 257 feet of Jamaica Bay frontage.
The mansion, owned by Galina Anissimova- the ex-wife of one of Russia’s wealthiest businessmen, is said to be the most expensive individual property to ever hit the real estate market in Brooklyn.
Anissimova purchased the main home in 1996 for $3 million and four years later, she purchased the neighbor’s property for $700,000 and immediately ripped it down and replaced it with an 8000-square foot guest house.
Additional features to this mansion are: a 1,000-square foot outdoor swimming pool, 10 bedrooms and a garage big enough for seven cars.
For the same amount of money I would purchase the Mel Gibson mansion, at least it looks like a home. The Brooklyn mansion looks too much like a commercial building!!!
