A Weston man was killed earlier today when a tractor trailer veered off I-95 while he was repairing a tire on another 18-wheeler.
Authorities said Henry Wagmeister, the owner of Truck Tire Sales & Service in Norwalk, was repairing a tire on the truck near Exit 3 on I-95 in Greenwich around 2:45 a.m., when another trailer, driven by Landy Narcisse-Parra, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, veered off the highway and collided with his truck, which was in the breakdown lane.
The impact of the two heavy vehicles forced Wagmeister’s service truck into him and the truck he was repairing.
Fifty-seven year old Wagmeister was pronounced dead at the scene.
Narcisse-Parra and the driver of the truck that was being repaired were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is still being investigated.
