A 50-year-old Greenwich man is accused of stealing a desktop instructional skeleton from Convent of the Sacred Heart School.

Lawrence Futie, of 68 Arch Street, turned himself in to Greenwich police on December 2 after a warrant was issued for his arrest.  He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass and sixth degree larceny.

According to the police report, surveillance cameras at the private school located at 1177 King Street captured Futie’s image roaming the school at around 4:00 p.m. on November 9.  A subsequent police investigation determined that he had stolen a desktop skeleton model.

He was released with a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on December 9.

This is not the first time that Greenwich police arrested Futie, a local artist who also goes by the name of Larry.

In August 2012 he was arrested for allegedly carrying a handgun without a permit in the commuter parking lot on Arch Street.
