Update: 12/30/13
Greenwich police have identified the victim in last week’s hit-and-run accident as 21-year-old Meghan Beebe, of Middlebury.
They also have a 26-year-old Ridgefield man, identified as Vyacheslav Cherepov, in custody.
Police said Cherepov dragged Beebe’s body with his red Pontiac G6 in the Williams Street parking lot before fleeing the scene of the crime.
Cherepov, who works at a restaurant nearby the crime scene, was arrested when he returned to the crime of the scene on Sunday in the same vehicle he struck and killed Beebe with.
Cherepov was arraigned at Stamford Superior Court earlier today.
