A Greenwich public school teacher was arrested last week for threatening another teacher.
Authorities said Stacey Goodnow, a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Western Middle School was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of disorderly after she allegedly called another teacher and threatened to “shoot up” her school.
As of press time, forty-six year old Goodnow, of 12 Melrose Ave. in Norwalk, was still being held on $100,000 bond; however, her attorney, Mark Sherman, is scheduled to appear in court on Norwalk Superior Court on Monday, where he plans to argue for a lower bond.
It is believed the threats were related to a March 2010 incident, where an intoxicated Goodnow tried to force her way into her ex-boyfriend’s apartment; however, it’s not immediately clear what the teach said to Goodnow causing her to make the threats.
The teacher reported the threats to Norwalk Police Department around 1:00 p.m. Thursday and she was arrested on Friday.
Before moving to Western Middle School, Goodnow was a teacher at Easter Middle School.
